Miloš Forman was a Czech-American film director and screenwriter renowned for his innovative and deeply humanistic films. Born on February 18, 1932, in Čáslav, Czechoslovakia, Forman rose to prominence as a leading figure in the Czechoslovak New Wave with films like 'Black Peter' and 'Loves of a Blonde.' After the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, he moved to the United States, where he achieved international fame with 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' (1975), which won five Academy Awards including Best Director.
